Favorite Pins Friday!

This is my first Favorite Pin Friday!

Click the button to link up, or see more pins!

First off, thank you Ladybug's Teacher Files for this!
I really could have used this this year. I swear those kids eat pencils!

Unfortunately, the Pin I have was not link to the original post.
If anyone knows please let me know! But anyways, how great is this?

This bracelet from Blessed Garden!

Floral dresses! Like this gorgeous one from The Stylish Housewife.
I don't know if I want to go back to wearing dress pants next year.

This dish located on ReadySetEat looks amazing and healthy.
I'll let you know how it is!

Now for something sweet! Pecan Pie Bars from The Comfort of Cooking.
I love pecans. This looks lethal!

Well, that's it for this Friday. Hope you saw something that was "pinteresting" to you!

Fashionista

Inspired by Melissa over at Teaching Fashionista, my new favorite blog, I have put together a mini-montage of some of my favorite summertime pieces.

1. My favorite finds this summer. Maxi dress is
from Target, the shoes are from Payless.
2. $12 Besty Johnson's at TJ Maxx, I usually never
shop there because I don't have the patience.
3. Micheal Kors watch, a birthday present to myself.
Assorted stacks from Charming Charlie and Francesca's.

Coming Soon... Cruise shopping! One week until I'm sipping a hurricane on a cruise ship heading to Cozumel with 20 of my friends! Yes, there's 20 of us. LOL, it's my best friend's husband's 30th. So we're going big. I have been so excited about this trip all summer!

I also have an extensive collection of teacher-style fashion pins.
Follow and Enjoy!

Flipped Classroom

Has anyone heard of this? My team will be doing it next year. Well, a modified version of it since we are in 3rd grade and at a first year title one school. I seriously love my teammates. They are fearless when it comes to trying new things.

Something else that will be different is that we will also be doing Specialized Classroom. Just our team. It's like departmentalizing, but we have to stress that it is not departmentalizing. One other teacher and I will divide up the subjects. I'm taking Humanities, that's your reading, writing, and social studies. My partner will be doing STEM (science and math). Sounds familiar, right? Not at all. We plan together. We conference with parents together. Everything goes together.

Lots of changes with the implementation of Common Core. And it's all for the best. I can't wait to start planning this school year.

Check out my Pin board... professional development at its finest!

Photos from the BOY

So here are just a few pictures of my classroom from the beginning of the year. Everything is from Pinterest of course. Updated classroom photos coming soon!

Behavior management from Mrs. Ricca's Kindergarten
and Guided Reading groups in the baskets above.

Our Classroom Twitter page!
I now post out the door questions
and they right their response.

This wall has changed so much since this photo.
Cafe is all filled up and Writing has...
Oh I just need to take a new photo of it :)
I've been wanting to post pictures of my classroom. This weekend I've had some extra time since I am no longer working 3 jobs. YES, 3 JOBS! I'm a workaholic. I've always worked multiple jobs. Even in college. It was tough, but I had to choose what was best for me... and my students.
